Download. Open.
Make yourself at home.
The terminal engine comes with the app. No Swift, Xcode, or Homebrew required to start a shell.
Checking the available Mac build…
1. Move it to Applications
Open the disk image and drag Project Terminal into Applications. Then open the app.
2. Sign in through your browser
Version 0.4.0 includes account signup and Mac activation. Choose Sign in & activate this Mac in the app. It opens your web account with a matching confirmation code.
Current test setup: email sign-in is limited to project team members. Stripe is not connected yet, so checkout and paid app activation remain unavailable. Existing local work can be viewed in read-only mode.
3. Let it check your tools
First launch finds the included session engine and your existing Claude Code and Codex installations. After account activation, you can start using terminals.
4. Add agents when you want them
If an agent is missing, select its Install button. The app uses Homebrew to download the optional tool, shows the result, and checks that it is ready. If Homebrew isn't installed, the setup screen links to its installer. You can skip agents and add them later from Tools → Set Up Tools.
Agent sign-in and usage are handled by each provider. Project Terminal uses your existing accounts.
5. Pick a project and get going
Add a folder, open a terminal, and try the browser pane alongside it. Your projects and layout are saved, while tmux keeps running sessions alive when you close the app.
